Whitsundays & Mackay
The Whitsundays is in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef on the Queensland coast, 150km north of Mackay and 200km south of Townsville, and ascends out of the rich blue tropical waters that lie in an archipelago of green islands and sandy atolls. Mackay is a lush tropical region that has an abundance of significant natural attractions of National Parks, gorges, tropical islands and unspoilt beaches.
Tropical North Queensland
Tropical North Queensland offers the Great Barrier Reef and tropical rainforest experiences, combining adventure and relaxation within some of the greatest environmental wonders of the world. The region includes Cairns, Cairns beaches, Palm Cove, Port Douglas, Kuranda, Cairns Highlands, Cape Tribulation & the Daintree Rainforest and Mission Beach.
Sunshine Coast & Fraser Coast
The Sunshine Coast is located 100 km north of Brisbane and incorporates the City of Caloundra and the three Shires of Maroochy, Noosa and Cooloola and the Fraser Coast includes Fraser Island and Hervey Bay. The region extends from the Glass House Mountains, including the northern portion of Bribie Island, to the Cooloola region north of Noosa Heads and west to the Blackall Range. The area offers a wide variety of products ranging from coastal beaches and waterways to scenic hinterland areas, national parks, world-class resorts and quality restaurants.
Brisbane
The city of Brisbane is a modern and diverse subtropical metropolis. As Queensland’s capital city, Brisbane offers visitors a stimulating city experience in a warm, friendly and relaxed environment. Brisbane city is electric with energy with an extensive music and culture event calendar. Visitors can choose to relax in South Bank, home of the 1988 World Expo or take to the streets in many of Brisbane’s street shopping precincts.
Gold Coast
The Gold Coast is famous for its beaches, surf, theme parks, shopping, nightlife and hinterland and has been attracting holiday makers for many decades. Located in southeast Queensland, just one hour south of Brisbane, the Gold Coast features 70 kilometers of uninterrupted coastline and is fringed by rainforest hinterland, including World Heritage-listed National Parks.
North Coast (Mackay to Townsville)
The North Coast includes Mackay and Townsville. This area is a lush tropical region that has an abundance of significant natural attractions of National Parks, gorges, the Great Barrier Reef, tropical islands and unspoilt beaches.
