Conceived in 1995 with the purchase of 150 acres on the eastern shore of Edgecumbe Bay, Cape Gloucester Eco-Resort was designed to be a small, inviting and environmentally sustainable resort. With this in mind the design, construction and mind set of the developers manifested a welcoming boutique resort with a friendly environment which happily plays host to families, groups, couples, the eco-set, weddings, functions, retreat holidaying and sailing folk.
The absolute beach front location, lightly timbered foreshore, beach side accommodation and nearby islands make for an idealic setting for casual rest and relaxation or activity for the more energetic.
Today, the owners and operators of Cape Gloucester Eco-Resort remain committed to the original motif for the resort, that begins with a friendly greeting at the beach side pavilion and ends with happy memories. The ecological sustainable momentum remains also, with a self rated 9 point eco plan.
